Brooke has a passion for all things creative, small business, and intellectual property related. Brooke’s aspiration to help small businesses began as a young girl while watching her father start and grow his own business. Seeing his struggles and triumphs opened her eyes to all aspects of owning a business.
Brooke started her journey by earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Law from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. After graduation, Brooke decided the best way to pursue her aspirations was to attend law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. While in law school, Brooke spent her time clerking at the St. Croix County Circuit Court, as well as interning at large corporations and firms like Polaris Inc., Boston Scientific, and Merchant and Gould P.C. While interning, Brooke was exposed to a wide range of business matters, including business development, contract drafting, and intellectual property concerns. Brooke now works at U.S. Bank as a Contract Negotiator where she has learned the ins and outs of all things contract related. With her experience at these large companies, Brooke has been able to develop a deeper understanding of what is valuable and important in a contract to benefit a small business.
Brooke’s exposure to not only business law, but real-world business activities, and her training in intellectual property and contracts makes her a wonderful fit for The Creative’s Counsel.
