Reece Law, L.L.C. was founded due to partner Jim Reece’s desire to mentor and teach his daughter, Wynne Reece, in the way that he was taught by some outstanding lawyers and mentors, and Wynne’s desire to have this dedicated mentoring. But for its emphasis on the importance of learning, Reece Law and The Creative’s Counsel would not be what it is today.
In the sentiment of paying it forward in this same way, we are thrilled to announce The Creative’s Counsel Scholarship Program.
In our inaugural year, 2 entrepreneurs will be chosen as recipients, and will be awarded 3 months of “in-house” legal counsel. What exactly does this mean? For 3 months, the recipient will have go-to counsel for day-to-day, trademark and incorporation business issues, at no cost outside of any of out-of-pocket costs incurred such as business filing fees with the State of Minnesota, to tackle their legal landscape. This could be looking at an idea and starting from ground zero, or it could be doing a legal audit of your business and getting things sorted out and holes filled! This does not include any litigation (dispute), patent work, tax work, securities work or merger and acquisition work.
But wait, there is more!
The wonderful business coach, Brandyn Negri with Live Your Yes, will be offering 3 sessions to you as well! She is the coach behind many of your favorite local brands and offers a peaceful, non-judgemental, constructive critique that can help you grow as a business owner, whatever that may mean for you.
The incredibly talented portrait photographer Lucas Botz will be giving you a fresh headshot (or two)!
The brilliant Quickbooks mind of Savvy Bird Consulting will be offering a training session on how to effectively use Quickbooks in your business!
Please note that the coaching sessions and Quickbooks workshop will be offered during our meeting times, in conjunction with the students who will also be working with you. The dates will be set by the award announcement date, but they will all be at 8:00 am on a Tuesday, in September, October or November.
